David enjoys helping food companies develop effective market entry and growth strategies. He is a senior leader in marketing and innovation with 25 years working for and with food companies and brands such as Chiquita, Heinz, Camposol, IFCO, and Fresh Solutions Network to develop and execute go-to-market strategies.
He has significant expertise developing high-impact marketing initiatives that leverage shopper insights to create programs that engage and excite consumers along the shopper purchase decision process. He has worked directly with over 50 retailer headquarters to help food companies build business.
David’s experience also includes developing & introducing new products for multinationals and helping food manufacturers access new markets and channels. While at Chiquita, David was Director of Marketing and Director of Innovation and Product Development. In these roles, David led consumer and customer marketing, banana innovation, the launch of Chiquita minis, the specialty banana business from farm to market, plus marketing and sensory research.
David serves on the board of the South Carolina Specialty Foods Association. He holds an MBA from the UVA’s Darden School and a B.S. from Purdue University.
